This is a great game for your children to practice a multitude of skills. They can use this for vocabulary, rhyming, or even spelling. This is a way that gets students interested because it is not just a pencil and paper. 

 

Materials:

-Magnetic letters

-Magnetic surface (fridge, cookie sheet, etc.)

 

Directions: 

Vocabulary:

-You can state the definition to your child and have them spell the vocabulary word out

 

Rhyming: 

-You can give them a word, for example cat, and see how many words they are able to come up with that rhyme with cat. 

 

Spelling:

-Quiz your child on their weekly spelling words and have them spell them out correctly.
