Family Phonics Center

This is a game that engages children throughout the entire time. It is also a game that can be played with sibblings or friends. 

 

Materials: 

-Yarn

-Close pin

-Marker

-Notecard

-Table

 

Directions: 

1. Attach the closepin to the yarn

2. Write out either the definitions of vocabulary words, or the words themselves 

3. Place the cards on the floor and you sit in a chair 

4. You will be the one fishing, so state a definition and the child will attach it to the closepin and tug on the string to singal you "caught a fish" 

5. Pull it up and make sure it is correct

6. Conitnue until all vocabulary words are done
