Family Phonics Center

This is a great game to play with kids that love to be active and love to play sports. 

 

Materials: 

-Three trash cans, containers, or tubs

-Tape

-Paper

-Marker

-Ball 

 

Directions: 

1. Tape three different words to each trash can (hat, ball, car, etc.)

2. Say different words that rhyme with one of the three words 

3. Children are then supposed to throw the ball into whichever can the word rhymes with

4. If they throw it into the wrong tub explain why it is wrong

5. If they get it correct they earn a point 

6. Once they get to 10 points they win
